Brian Clemens is a London-based pianist, arranger, composer, and bandleader originally from Los Angeles. After earning his master’s degree in Jazz Performance and Commercial Music and studying under Grammy Award-winning pianist/arranger Bill Cunliffe, Brian established himself in the Los Angeles music scene before relocating to London, where he has become an in-demand performer, musical director, and arranger.
In London, Brian founded and leads Luminoso, a jazz-pop band performing original songs influenced by the Great American Songbook, swing, Latin music, R&B, and orchestral pop. The group has performed across the UK and Europe, with appearances at venues including Nardis Jazz Club in Istanbul, Jamboree in Barcelona, b-flat in Berlin, PizzaExpress Jazz Club in London, and other leading rooms. As the principal songwriter and arranger behind much of Luminoso’s debut album, 3-2-1!, Brian brings a songwriter’s sense of melody and storytelling to the bandstand.
Brian also directs a touring big band production, presenting themed concert shows across UK theatres and at London’s historic Wilton’s Music Hall. In addition to his work as a bandleader, he performs regularly at some of London’s most prestigious hotels and private venues, including The Ritz London, The Dorchester, Harrods, The Savoy, and The Peninsula.
Equally at home leading a band, performing solo piano, arranging for large ensembles, or directing from the bandstand, Brian is available for private events, concerts, sessions, music direction, and touring engagements.
