Brian Clemens is a London-based jazz pianist, arranger, and bandleader originally from Los Angeles. After earning his master’s degree in California and studying under Grammy Award-winning pianist and arranger Bill Cunliffe, he established himself in the city’s vibrant music scene. He has since headlined venues across the US and Europe and is equally at home as a solo pianist or leading ensembles.
Now based in London, Brian leads his acclaimed jazz band Luminoso as pianist, songwriter, and music director. Known for engaging live sets and melodic writing, the group has built a strong following across Europe. Their debut release 3-2-1! draws on the timeless sophistication of the Great American Songbook, presenting a vibrant collection of original songs that feel both nostalgic and immediately accessible, performed to packed houses across the UK and internationally, with appearances at leading European venues including Nardis Jazz Club, b-flat jazz club, and Jamboree Jazz Club.
Brian also directs the Brian Clemens Big Band, currently touring UK theatres with productions including Songs of the Silver Screen and The Transatlantic Songbook. Alongside his concert work, he performs regularly at leading London venues such as The Ritz London, Harrods, and The Landmark London, and is in demand as a pianist for private events and teaching.
